Optical Fiber Structure

The fiber length is infinitely long along the axial direction. However, we can only simulate a finite segment of fiber. To simulate it in GEMS, we truncate the two ends of fiber using CPML to extend it to infinity. The excitation and output ports are two circular waveguides that are located at the two ends. The output parameters are the reflection and transmission coefficients.
