| This package includes 12 layers of lossy dielectrics, 16 patch antennas, and an antenna feed network. The required output parameters are 16x16 S-parameter matrix, antenna gain, antenna efficiency and far field pattern. The antenna dimensions are 29 mm x 29 mm x 1.05 mm, which is discretized into 1280 x 1280 x 99 non-uniform cells. Simulating this problem on the GEMS Box system (8 Intel 2.4GHz processors) for 25,000 time steps (the width of time window is 0.44ns) took approximately 32 hours. Each port simulation took about 2 hours. The memory usage for this package problem is only 10GB. |
